Rumor Has It

~ Shel ~

Personally:
"Someone who twirls her hair when she's tired, inspired or just thinking in general.  She loves red wine, sunrises and sunsets, walking barefoot in the grass and the sound of waves crashing on the beach.  She'd gladly become a hermit, playing with pearls and gemstones all day, if sleep weren't required and reality didn't call!"

Professionally:
"Is continually in pursuit of knowledge of gems, various metals, and semi-precious stones as well as new techniques and mediums. She enjoys designing jewelry which is stylish and trendy, yet classical and versatile enough to last from season to season."

Michelle's favorite colored gemstone is the pearl and she holds a Graduate Pearls Diploma from the Gemological Institure of America (
GIA).

Aside from designing beautiful jewelry, Michelle teaches jewelry classes at various venues, writes articles and tips on jewelry and fashion, and also assists her clients with wardrobe assessments and pearl buying.

She credits her family, friends and fellow jewelry artists and instructors
with helping bring her artistic talents to the forefront and providing her with invaluable design skills and inspiration.

Michelle lives in beautiful and sunny Arizona with her husband and son.

"When I sit at my bench and create, a sense of wholeness comes over me and I know I'm exactly where I was meant to be!

It's my sincere hope that all those who wear my jewelry will feel special, empowered and conscious of all their inner goodness."

Cheers!

Artist Statement:

I am a jewelry designer with a Graduate Pearls Diploma from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).  I specialize in creating jewelry that is stylish and fun, with classic lines and a timelessness that allows people to wear my designs for many seasons while still remaining fashionable, yet unique and true to their own sense of style.

Although Pearls are my favorite gemstone, I love creating jewelry with various stones and metals and I produce wearable pieces with a simplistic style that evokes moods and feelings through their design, shape or color.

My love and appreciation for the outdoors, our environment  and those in it, pushes me to be conscious of recycling my materials and practicing safe and eco-friendly design habits where ever I can.

My passion for seeing cancer erased as well as hunger, violence and abuse diminish through out the world, leads me to seek out ways, both financially and through volunteer work, to assist and give back in these areas.
